The Humboldt Highlanders history spans back to the 1980s as the North Coast Pipe Band and is affiliated with the local North Coast Scottish Society. The band performed at many local functions and festivals as well as parades in Redding and Crescent City, CA.
After a long hiatus, in 2014 many of the original members joined up with newer pipers and drummers in Humboldt County to reform as the Humboldt Highlanders Pipe Band.
