The MacIntosh Pipe Band, from Larkspur, California, was formed in the late 1980’s and first competed at Dixon in 1990. The band wears the Ancient Hunting MacIntosh tartan.

Pipe Majors Janice Richey and Annette Huddle, along with Pipe Sergeant Katherine Strausser and Drum Sergeant Joyce MacLaury, currently lead the band at twice weekly band practices. The Macs have competed and performed in five states as well as Canada, Mexico, and Scotland. A special memory was playing at a Giants vs Dodgers game on the field at Oracle Park for the 10th anniversary of 9/11. They also put on a sellout concert featuring Scottish singer Isla St. Clair and the band. Beyond competition, soloists, mini-bands, and the whole band share their talents at all sorts of events throughout each year.
