The Prince Charles Pipe Band, sponsored by the Caledonian Club of San Francisco, is dedicated to teaching youth and promoting excellence in the art of Scottish piping and drumming. Founded in 1967, generations of the Band have performed and competed successfully in the US, Canada, Scotland and France, and won the World Pipe Band Championships in Grade 2 in 2000 & Grade 3 in 2003. The organization has been the featured guest pipe band three times at the Festival Interceltique Lorient in France.
The current Band won the 2024 North American Grade 4 Championships and was upgraded to Grade 3 for this season. The Band will be traveling to Scotland this summer to compete in the World Pipe Band Championships.

The Prince Charles Pipe Band organization was founded in 1967 and is sponsored by the Caledonian Club of San Francisco. The Band is dedicated to teaching youth and promoting excellence in the art of Scottish piping and drumming and has the longest-running active youth piping & drumming instructional program on the West Coast. Generations of the Band have competed and performed in North America and Europe, winning World Championships in 2000 & 2003.
The Prince Charles Juvenile Pipe Band (Grade 5) is the newest generation of pipers and drummers to emerge from the organization. With the exception of the two instructors, all members are 18 years of age or younger.
